Getting some playing in, with a drummer and Ken on guitar, me on vocals and keyboards. Sounds good! Looking to bring it out & around soon, for some good music throwdowns wherever the spirit leads.

My two cents...

I'm praying for you, Gulf of Mexico. Lord, cap this well and bring all means to help this region, let the leaders in the Gulf (the real leaders, the people of the Gulf) do what they need to do.

Go solar now, even if inefficient. It's a statement.

O.K. a word about the oil spill and dependence on oil...

If we go green one person at a time, if each person demands a more green country by the use of their purchasing power (local foods and in season foods, eco packaging, green heating, green cars, etc.) the change we need will happen. It will NOT happen via a political party, but it WILL happen from a grass-roots movement only. So, we're the grass, and let's put down roots in the right way. Green is right, good, and necessary. This does not mean our country needs to sign politically binding treaties about it with foreign countries (no chains please), but one person at a time, irregardless of our leaders. Our leaders can't lead on this issue, they've bought into the "gotta have it, only way" lie. So, cooler minds must prevail...one person at a time...

I call it "the Titanic syndrome". An unsinkable ship. An unexplodable nuclear reactor. An unleakable underwater oil well. It is hubris of the highest order.

Also, pray pray pray this oil spill will stop, and for all impacted--people, plants, animals, ecosystems; and that people will finally get that green is good and is not a hoax.

Been enjoying this great spring weather--it's the best this time of year! How about you?

"A Mother's Song" is available on iTunes, and is doing well. Glad it got recorded, and that you like it.

Will be doing some open mic this month, just to get out a bit. Spring! I can feel some new songs brewing. BUT this round I'll be doing some cover songs with Ken on guitar...

Hello. My new single "A Mother's Song" is now available on iTunes for downloads. It is a fundraiser and ALL download proceeds will go towards helping St. Joseph School. This song was a joy to record, start to finish. It was recorded at The Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, NJ on two snowy nights (well, one snowy and one really cold!). Steve DeGeorge is on drums, I'm on voice/piano/synth, and Mike Ferretti engineered the project. Great job, guys, and THANK YOU for this lovely little gem. I hope it helps the kids and the school, it sure was alot of fun creating it.

Recording a song I wrote called "A Mother's Song", which will be available soon. This one will go to iTunes for all to download. I'm very excited about this song.

Keep praying for Haiti. Giving money is great, but praying is needed to GET the stuff to the people who need it. That's prayer.

"I Am" is my newest song, recorded entirely on a home studio setup using "Record" software by Propellerhead. It took me a few months to learn it. Hello again.

Received "Record" by Propellerhead Software, and am starting to record with it. Vocals are good on it so far, as well as the other instrument tracks. Learning as I go, ploughing through each impass one by one, but it can be done and I'm proud to say I haven't cried, cursed the PC, or thrown a hissy fit in frustration yet, and sure hope that doesn't happen. Basically that's the test: if I can learn it and use it and actually get a better-than-decent final from it, I'll be one happy girl :))) Sure looks that way, so far...but one day at a time...time will tell...oh well...

Hope your October is going well. Been a cold one, so far, but I like these blustery days of fall & leaves & apples & baking & hearthy stuff a whole lot...

Working on the Home Studio project, quite a zap into lots of technology decisions...mac or pc? ...cubase or protools or the new kid on the block, "record"?...audio interfaces, pre-amps, blah blah blah. Stuff I never wanted to get into, but have to, so might as well roll up my sleeves and HIT this learning curve! Certainly looking forward to recording better quality finals & roughs to give to producers, no doubt about THAT....

Setting up a home studio FINALLY and very psyched about it. Want to get the ideas across BETTER and at the pace my mind hears things. Want to be able to work with producers who hear things themselves and can add to the music. Want to innovate, create new things, new sounds despite the fact that there is nothing new under the sun...maybe redefine "new".

Just cleaned up my synth's sequencer area, it was full and now I can begin full length composing & producing my new material. Lots of different styles are emerging, and a song I really like is called "I'll Be Ready". Can't wait to get this one fully produced & out onto the airwaves, with the eye on creating a full CD, compiling a bunch of the new songs produced better.

Ah, the full, rich, fertile, beautiful days of late spring are upon us in every possible way!

NEWS...Inspired by watching Mia Farrow on Larry King this past Monday evening, CAM member Lori Malvey composed & professionally recorded "Don't Forget Darfur" to assist in public awareness of the increased suffering in Darfur since all aid workers have been expelled on March 4, 2009. Mia Farrow is staging a hunger strike in her attempt to raise awareness of this "new, old issue". On her website and via provided links, there are many things an ordinary person can do to help the people of Darfur who face the most extreme conditions, due to the government's expulsion of all outside help. As she says, if a water pump breaks, there is no one there to fix it, and they don't get water. Likewise, there are food & healthcare concerns that are creating an emergency crisis. O.K. i finally went into the local studio which has a BEAUTIFUL grand piano that i never played...duh! Oh well, live and learn..anyway, recorded 3 songs, the vocals go on in two weeks, so there will be some QUALITY recordings coming to this site. Yes! I am thankful for that!
