MUSICALLY, i'm working on the "Stations of the Cross: A Musical - A Lenten Journey for the People" and hope to have it completed this year, Lord willing. It sets each of the 14 stations to song. Songs you can relate to, songs that take you on the journey in a very real way. Hello to you, and thanks for stopping by. Several new songs here, downloads available too. They range in style as usual per this artist (one hip hop song, a prog-rock song, and a couple of emo-drama adventures). Taking chances, albeit small (in the great scheme of things relative to all wonderful composers who've gone before me in time & space)...but try & grow & take risks i must! Otherwise oh, so boring, and where's that at :)

In addition to the pop/neo-soul/emotronic stuff i do, a few songs done with producer/musician Tony Christopher. It's a musical i wrote a while back called "Stations of the Cross: A Musical". It's good to see that blooming in these fall times...

Wow, a song i wrote from really dire cirumstances is #1 on the Live Performances chart at IAC Music.com (www.iacmusic.com), called "My Heart Is Always Breaking". A lesson here, i guess...let it all show, cause others are feeling the same dang things...

Writing again, doing some recording too. Forcing myself to be PATIENT with the process (an attribute i must always remind myself of) so as to create more quality recordings.

School's out, so it's busy on the homefront. Made some blueberry muffins, i have a great Maine recipe for the real deal. Yumm!

Just blogging, really...saw a show last nite on the two Chinas--one of sweatshops, one of rich consumerism. I don't want 10 shirts anymore, made by the sweat of a 19 year old who is not compensated enuf to send home money for her family to afford school for her brothers & sisters and who works till 9:00 at nite and sometimes thru the nite in a crunch, falling asleep at her sewing machine to her risk. I don't want inordinate amounts of "stuff", i don't want to feed into the chain, i don't want it anymore.

What can i say...April showers bring May flowers...so lots of musical gardening going on right now. As in: practice, writing, exposing the music, all the basics.

Holy Week right now, as i write. Always a heavy time, to grow & reflect & become aware of TIME and LIFE and PEOPLE and LOVE and all things connected to this journey. We're all on it, it's a ride, open up & smell the smallness, the bigness, the wonder of it all.

In a writing mode lately, a place i like very, very much. Kind of bigger picture stuff, since i wrote so extensively about the interpersonal already. The other side of the brain, i think? Anyway, have a solo live show coming up in south Jersey, hate the drive but love to play :)

Winter in full force here in the northeast part of the U.S., and i'm enjoying it. I love how weather changes all the time, it keeps me on my toes and blatently shows that things always change; there is a cycle; good days/bad days; need the sun and need the rain and need the snow...stuff like that :)

OPEN at this time, in a writing mode. Hear the birds singing, they are the coolest things. Singers and birds are best friends.

LOVE to you and your friends, prayers for your enemies, and i hope the wars will end.

Played live with Ken on bass guitar & Steve on drums, me on keys & voice, and it was FUN! Got to take the synth out for a ride (i love to do experimental synth) on "A New Place", stretched it way out, and it was great, people liked it. Got a new appreciation for the mellow songs, the downtempo mood fit after the fast ones really well. Aberdeen played after us, and it was a great night for all those who got out on that COLD 14 degree nite. THANKS FOR THE SUPPORT :)))

O.K., first of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and anyone you are connected with. Reflection time, for sure, like what direction am i on? Changes needed in any area? etc. etc. So a GOOD time to create something and renew what's good, let go of what's not.

Looking forward to my upcoming local show on January 26th where my band will play with a pal's band called Aberdeen. Fun stuff.

Sharpening up the live show, it's time to high polish things...happy about that, it feels RIGHT. Not letting the world ruin this beautiful time of year; no need to fall for the lies, Christmas is about Peace. Maybe i can get ready, slow & steady? Why not...:)
