JANUARY 2012 NEWS

January 12, 2012
Well, it's off to the studio again...I must admit, recording music is a way of life for this particular artist, cause I really like to write & sing & record & put music out there. Anyway, I really like the new songs. One is about risk, the other is about adoption (for a friend), one is about "the big picture", and one is a fully produced version of a simple song on this site already. Sounds fun to me! All songs are being produced by the one producer who has ALWAYS believed in me - Rich Piszker, who has also co-written two of them. Rich (and my Cousin, his Wife, Carmel) I don't know what I'd do without your inspiration and help! THANK YOU!!! YOU BOTH BELIEVED IN THIS ARTIST WHEN NO ONE ELSE DID! I'M FOREVER GRATEFUL.
I'll keep you posted about the songs' progress and, as always, enjoy the music on this site.
Also, thanks to JANGO radio and all the positive comments from my new fans. I APPRECIATE EACH AND EVERYONE WHO HAS SUPPORTED THIS INDIE ARTIST. MY PRAYERS ARE FOR YOU ALL.
+love & peace & all that good stuff+

SEPTEMBER NEWS

September 14, 2011
Hello,
I'll be playing "live" in a band format (drums, bass, guitar, vocals, keyboards) on Saturday, September 24th between 2:00-3:00 in the afternoon at"The Tierney Veliz Coming Home" Benefit at Lodestar Park in Fredon, NJ.
Directions to Lodestar Park, Route 94, Fredon, NJ (Corner of Route 94 and Route 610):
From North: Route 94 South, 3 miles past Newton town square to traffic light at corner of Route 610 (across from Fredon Elementary School).
Tierney was recently in a car accident and the family needs to renovate the house to accommodate her current condition. The hospital will only discharge her when the home is where it needs to be, so the benefit is being held to raise money for this purpose.
The event will have food, vendors, 7 live bands, an auction, pony rides, and be a fun day all in all.
See you there.

MAY NEWS

John 6: 30 - 35
30 So they said to him, "Then what sign do you do, that we may see, and believe you? What work do you perform?
31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, `He gave them bread from heaven to eat.'"
32 Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.
33 For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven, and gives life to the world."
34 They said to him, "Lord, give us this bread always."
35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he who comes to me shall not hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.

JANUARY NEWS

January 4, 2011
HAPPY NEW YEAR to you!
Much is happening, thanks to Rich Piszker, producer extraordinaire (LoCaRi). Our new song "Come Free Your Heart" is done, and he also surprised me by laying down a superb track to a vocal that was recorded I-honestly-don't-know-when. It's called "Survival", and is a dance track with trance elements and the pop sensibility you've come to know & love from yours truly. What a great way to start 2011! Both songs will be up soon, so check back in a few...and special thanks goes out to cousin Carmel for being the inspiration and positive instigator for all this good new music...:)
Resolutions? Yeah, a few. Like being able to SEE the blessings around me and to be THANKFUL. Well, all I've got to say is...I SEE! and I AM THANKFUL!
On other fronts...Been following the Dr. Furhman "Eat to Live" plan, which is very interesting. I think this man is brilliant. Check it out if you are out of sorts and want a boost in the right direction.
That's about it for now, so...+God bless you and all those in your life+

Feeling thankful for all the recent offers and singing engagements that have been coming my way.
My husband Ken and I will be playing at a retreat, and have been asked to perform at a coffee house at the United Methodist Church. Upcoming details to follow.
"A Mother's Song" continues to do well on iTunes and JANGO music, an internet radio station.
Also, I was given a great dance song to overdub vocals & lyrics from Richard Pisker (the LoCaRi producer & composer). The song is in pre-production. I'm looking forward to another great mix from Rich, a.k.a. Sugarpaw.
Enjoy the music on this site, and God Bless you + + +

OIL SPILL
-
June 19, 2010
GET OUT OF THE WAY, BP AND GOVERNMENT. LET THE PEOPLE OF THE GULF DO THE CLEANUP. THIS IS THEIR SHORE AND THEY LOVE IT. GET OUT OF THEIR WAY.
My two cents...
I'm praying for you, Gulf of Mexico. Lord, cap this well and bring all means to help this region, let the leaders in the Gulf (the real leaders, the people of the Gulf) do what they need to do.
Go solar now, even if inefficient. It's a statement.

JUNE NEWS

June 14, 2010
O.K. a word about the oil spill and dependence on oil...
If we go green one person at a time, if each person demands a more green country by the use of their purchasing power (local foods and in season foods, eco packaging, green heating, green cars, etc.) the change we need will happen. It will NOT happen via a political party, but it WILL happen from a grass-roots movement only. So, we're the grass, and let's put down roots in the right way. Green is right, good, and necessary. This does not mean our country needs to sign politically binding treaties about it with foreign countries (no chains please), but one person at a time, irregardless of our leaders. Our leaders can't lead on this issue, they've bought into the "gotta have it, only way" lie. So, cooler minds must prevail...one person at a time...
I call it "the Titanic syndrome". An unsinkable ship. An unexplodable nuclear reactor. An unleakable underwater oil well. It is hubris of the highest order.
Also, pray pray pray this oil spill will stop, and for all impacted--people, plants, animals, ecosystems; and that people will finally get that green is good and is not a hoax.

"A Mother's Song" Now Available on iTunes
-
March 18, 2010
Hello. My new single "A Mother's Song" is now available on iTunes for downloads. It is a fundraiser and ALL download proceeds will go towards helping St. Joseph School. This song was a joy to record, start to finish. It was recorded at The Barber Shop Studios in Hopatcong, NJ on two snowy nights (well, one snowy and one really cold!). Steve DeGeorge is on drums, I'm on voice/piano/synth, and Mike Ferretti engineered the project. Great job, guys, and THANK YOU for this lovely little gem. I hope it helps the kids and the school, it sure was alot of fun creating it.
